June 7, 2011 Meeting Minutes

Attendance: Sue Sheehy, Jack Daniels, Marta Nisson, Jen Swabowicz, Katie Graybill, Karen Bourne, Linda Haytayan and Fred Daniels.

Liz Barbour Night:

• “Quick Meals” , April 4^th, 2012,
• Snow date April 18^th

• Need for snacks at each table.

Assembly discussion:  Wayne from Maine vs. Food Play

• Decided on Wayne from Maine. Cost $795

• Need to check if he is willing to do 2 separate assemblies (older and younger grades)

• Plan for May 1^st, 2^nd, or 3^rd.

Luau Party, June 14^th, 2011 at 2pm for the 6^th grade.

• To attend party to help;  Ann Mann, Monique, Karen, Jen and Sue.

• To arrive at 1pm to  set-up.

Walk to School--- Went well, Fungo a big hit.

• Plan to do again next year, looking a t May 23^rd, 2012.

Walk-Run Review:

• Step-o-meter’s a big hit, sold about 220 (approx. 30 left).

• Plan to do Walk NH log again next year.

• About $4000 raised in donations!!!

• Medals went well.

• Recipe Book Fundraiser next year??? (Healthy St. Chris Cookbook)

• Activities review and possible improvements for next year

• Younger grades need more parent volunteers to assist each class.

• Approach room moms to help find parents to volunteer, give specific

tasks.

• At least 3 parents per class.

• Color coded class shirts.

• Two water tents, one by the run finish, one by the activities.

• Sprits/spray bottles?  Maybe for the teachers/volunteers.

• Parents need to know that the children must remain with their class at all times

• Students may not be dismissed from the field.

• How do we make the vendors more efficient?   Need to rethink health fair.

• Better map for the teachers.

• Air Horn.

• More trash barrels/bags.

• Well Defined First Aid Station.

• Lag time between activities?  How do we make this more efficient.

• No Candy.
