Home Current Parents Lunch Program

Hot Lunch

The St. Christopher Lunch Program offers lunch for students Monday through Friday. Participation in the Lunch Program is optional. The menu is created under the supervision of a registered dietician to ensure nutritious and balanced meals. The menu typically consists of:

  • Monday: cheese or pepperoni pizza
  • Tuesday & Wednesday: a hot entree catered by the St. Joseph Hospital cafeteria
  • Thursday: deli subs
  • Friday: cheese pizza

Each entree is supplemented with fresh fruit, vegetables and/or another healthy snack.

Ordering

Each month, families may order lunch for the coming month online at OrderLunches.com. Lunch may be ordered for specific days/meals as desired. Read Instructions for Online Lunch Ordering for information about registering for and using OrderLunches.com. Our school password for OrderLunches.com is stchris111.

Cost

All meals are $3.00 ( an extra slice of pizza is $.75) Payment must be made by check. No cash payments will be accepted. There are no refunds for missed meals, even if school is cancelled. Any 'profits' are used to pay for paper goods, occasional special treats or other items. The Lunch Program is run by volunteers and is self-funded. It does not receive any money from the school.

Milk

The Lunch Progam does not include milk. Milk must be ordered separately, in September, for the entire year. You may choose either lowfat, skim or lowfat chocolate milk.

Snacks

There is a snack break each morning. Students may bring a snack from home or purchase a snack from the Snack Cart for 50 cents. On Fridays, freshly popped popcorn is available for 35 cents.

Monday Morning Shoppers

PDF Print E-mail

Thank you for all your help. Without your efforts, this program would not be a success!

The Shopper Schedule is available HERE . The shopping items must arrive at the school by 11:00 so that the servers can begin set up by 11:15.  If Monday is a holiday, the shopping must be completed on Tuesday. Please find a substitute from this list if you are unable to shop on your day. For those who have not shopped before, please call me prior to your first designated shopping day and I will meet you in the lobby to discuss the shopping process.  If you have any questions, please call Kerrie Dahl at 881-7969 ( home ) or 264-3114 (cell).

Please post the shopping list on the hot lunch board once you are complete.

Thank you so much!

Hot Lunch Volunteer Schedule

Dear Hot Lunch Server Volunteers,

Thank you for volunteering for the hot lunch program.  We appreciate your time and look forward to another successful year.  The lunch program will begin on Monday, September 27th. The volunteer server schedule for this school year can be found by clicking HERE.  Teams, dates for serving, and team leaders have been listed for each day.  We suggest you mark your personal calendars for the days that you are scheduled to serve.  Please arrive at the school by 11:15.  There is preparation that needs to be completed before we are able to serve the children and the staff.

Please bring a cap to wear (required by the NH Dept. of Health).  We have aprons and gloves.

We would ask that everyone assist in the tray washing on those days that we use trays.  This is a time consuming task and there are some days that we are close to running out before we serve the next lunch group.

It is essential that you find a substitute if you are unable to make your scheduled day.  Each team counts on its members. Please call other volunteers to find a replacement.

Thank you again.

Sincerely,

The Hot Lunch Committee
