St. Christopher School

September has been a fun and exciting month. We have been learning how to be Second Graders, and talked about the many things we will do this year.

We have read books about Johnny Appleseed and have done many projects about apples and are learning about Johnny Appleseed’s life. Our class learned a new vowel song and have been reviewing our short vowel sounds along with our beginning, middle and ending consonant sounds.

In religion we read about how Jesus taught us that there is only one God. But there are three persons in One God,-- God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit and the importance of Pentecost. We love singing our new songs too, Come Follow Me and Sing for Joy.

Next month we will learn about Bats, we’ll have fun with many Halloween activities and we will be building on naming and action parts of a sentence.
