Grade 2 celebrated Johnny Appleseed's birthday by making a lovely flap book about the seasons of an apple tree.  Did you know that there are miore than 7,500 varieties of apples grown throughout the world?

This month, we will be reading about the seven sacraments and the special words and actions for each.  We will be learning many fascinating facts about spiders, bats , and owls.  In math, 2-W will be practicing fact families, doubles facts and double plus one facts.These are efficient tools to recall basic addition and subtraction equations.  We will also be writing number sentences to match word problems.
