St. Christopher School

Well it is November but you would not know it by looking out the window!  We had our dress down day on Nov. 4th.  The kids enjoy wearing different clothes. Some dress down and some dress up. 

Some of our activities for this month include our Human Body Project.  The children should have already given you their forms for their choice of system.  Due to the storm I am going to extend it until the Friday the 18th.  We will then have our mini museum tours that day and then the following week they will present them to the class.  We are still learning about the different systems in class.  So far it has been the Skeletal/Muscular, Circulatory, and Respiratory system that we have explored.  Nest we will talk about the Urinary and Digestive systems.   The test will be on Nov.30, the Wednesday after Thanksgiving. 

After Thanksgiving we will learn about how to take care of the body we have just learned about in Science.

Speaking of Thanksgiving, 5M will be leading the Thanksgiving Prayer Service.  I hope you will be able to join us at 9:15 on the Nov. 23. They have been learning some prayers and songs in Spanish that the children will lead during the prayer service.

Our adopted religious, Sister Paula Marie, was due to come and meet us on Nov. 4 but the weather had other plans.  We have rescheduled and she will be in on Nov. 30. 

Don't forget to practice on spellingcity.com for the up coming lessons, numbers 14 through 17 for now.

Don't forget the Parent Conferences are on November 22.  I hope you have signed up, if not I'll be in touch. Wednesday of that week is an early release day at 12:30.  There is no after school care so the kids need to be picked up at 12:30.
