December News

December News

November was a great month for learning. It was fun learning about the “First Thanksgiving” and we hope everyone had an enjoyable day. Through the month we continued our alphabet letters and phonetic sounds. The beauty of the season was displayed by all our fall crafts.

Our Thanksgiving feast had a Native American theme. The kids wore Native American hats and vests that they made. During the feast they worked creating a small teepee and they shared a snack. Thanks to Mrs. Zelanes for organizing this and the parents that volunteered sending snacks or helping out.

We ended the month by attending the prayer service on Nov. 22. Pre K did a great job at Church. We are very proud of them !!!

During December as part of our science curriculum we will have fun mixing colors. We will also have fun with the snow as we talk about solids and liquids. We will also continue our study of nutrition, healthy habits and healthy foods.

In language arts we will continue with our letter of the week. Lette.rs L, M, N, and O will be introduced. In Math we will continue sequencing, patterns and numbers 8, 9, 10, and 11. In religion, we will continue giving thanks to God for making us so special, for our voice, hands, smile and of course the real meaning of Christmas.

December is the season of giving. As part of our religious education program we will talk about kindness, sharing and helping others.
