Welcome to Pre-KWelcome to the wonderful world of Pre-Kindergarten and St. Christopher School! It is our honor to be your child’s teachers this year and we are looking forward to a year of fun and lots of learning. This is an exciting time in your child’s life. The knowledge, experiences and skills your child acquires this year are just the building blocks for a long successful journey through school and life. As exciting as it may be there could also be some apprehension at first. We will do our best to help them get acclimated to this wonderful experience as quickly as possible. We wanted to provide a few notes on some keys things to remember going forward this year: Doors open at 8:30am and school begins at 8:50am. Half Day students are dismissed at 11:25am. Full Day students are dismissed at 2:55pm. Please refer to the enclosed Carpool Systems sheet for more detailed information about our drop-off and pick-up procedures. You may communicate with us in two different manners. The fastest, if you need an immediate answer, is a handwritten note enclosed in your child’s folder. We will respond to those notes the same day they are received. The second is by email; our addresses at school are This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Please use this option if your message is not of a time sensitive matter. We, as well as the school, enjoy the extra help and expertise volunteers share with us including chaperoning on field trips should we have the opportunity to take some, however in order to volunteer you need to have completed all the requirements of the Protecting God’s Children program. St. Christopher’s will be hosting a workshop on Wednesday, September 22nd from 7-9pm in the Church Hall. You can also check the Diocese of Manchester website: http://www.catholicnh.org for more listings of these workshops. Thank you to everyone who brought in their supplies, unfortunately, because of a lack of space we had to send some of you home with yours. The good news is, we know who you are and as our supplies diminish we will be in touch to have you help us replenish them. Thanks again! If you haven’t already done so please send in a folder for correspondence and school papers to and from school as well as a blanket or towel for rest time, an extra outfit (doesn’t have to be a uniform), your completed emergency card and signed handbook form. Please remember to take a look at the St. Chris website, http://stchrisschoolnh.org, lots of good information can be found right on our school website, including our classroom webpage which we will be updated on a monthly basis. We are happy to announce that Tammy Belanger (Brooke’s mom) will be our classroom parent this year. She will be calling upon you if we need parent volunteers in the class, as chaperones or help with a holiday party. Thanks Tammy for taking on this responsibility! And lastly, thank you for making a commitment to a Catholic education this year, we are sure you will not be disappointed and we look forward to working closely with you in meeting the needs of your child.
Sincerely, Mrs. Landry and Mrs. Hauntsman
