Visual Arts Appreciation

Artist of the Month:  Pablo Picasso  1881-1973

Standard:  Academic Benchmark:  Select and apply the elements of visual art and principle of design.

Curriculum Standard:  1.3 use various materials and techniques and processes to communicate and express ideas, experiences and stories.

Projects and Activities:  In the art program we cater to multiple intelligences.  We will be doing a musical collage, a paper witch in Picasso style, a modern art owl, poetry about the Lady with the hairnet, chalk and black marker and sculpting with clay in Picasso mode.

The color wheel:  We will review the color wheel.
