Thank you’s – This week’s thank you’s go to Mark Roy who has been doing such a marvelous job with our lobby’s electronic event board! The kids love to see their birthdays posted and it’s great to see reminders of all our upcoming events. Awesome job!
Christmas Shopping – Don’t forget that our students will be starting the holidays off right with the traditional Christmas Shopping event starting tomorrow!
Every class will be shopping during the two day event, so students should come prepared! On their shopping day, they should bring money to purchase gifts (all gifts are $5 and under) along with a list of who they are shopping for. They should also bring along gift tags which have been filled out with their name (if you have misplaced the ones we sent home two weeks ago, it’s okay to send some from home). We will also have a couple of raffles that the kids love to participate in – the Raffle table with lots of great prizes, and the straw raffle. Additional tickets for the Raffle Table are included in this week’s paper News. Please, please, please have these raffle tickets filled out and cut up before your child shops!
Shoebox Gift Drive – It’s the last week for Shoebox donations! This is a wonderful opportunity for our children to experience the joy of giving to other children who are less fortunate. Families are asked to fill a decorated shoebox with small toys, toiletries, and gifts for a boy or girl and return the box to the school before Friday, December 2. Our Faith Outreach Committee will deliver the boxes to the Santa Fund and Salvation Army for distribution to the needy right here in Nashua. Help make a child’s Christmas just a little bit more magical! Additional tags for the boxes are in this week’s paper News!
Scrip Orders – Get those holiday Scrip orders in now for fastest delivery…the order form is included in this week’s paper News! There’s a fantastic NEW retailer in the program…DSW! $25 Gift cards are available and can be used both in the stores and online. New shoes for everyone!
State of the School Address – For the first time, the Diocese is requiring ALL Catholic schools to present a State of the School address to parents before the end of the year. St. Chris has traditionally done this in the Spring, but the Diocese has specifically requested that it be done sooner. Therefore, parents are invited to hear about the “State” of St. Chris on December 5 at 6:30 p.m. in Mrs. Moore’s room. Mrs. Clarke will be making the presentation.
We’re on Twitter – Follow us! You can find the school @StChrisSchoolNH!
Open House for Prospective Families – It’s time again to start recruiting for the next school year! If you know of someone who would be interested in a St. Chris education for their PreKindergarten to 1st grade child, please let them know that we have an Open House scheduled for families interested in those grades on Friday, December 2 at 9:30 AM. If they can’t make that Open House, suggest that they call Jackie to set up a personal tour! Experience tells us that our parents are our best recruiters --- thank you for all the good words you share about St. Chris!
Open House Postcards – In this week’s News packet, you’ll find several Open House postcards. Please pass them out to any families you know who might be interested in a St. Chris education for their children! We know that our best advertising comes from our current and alumni parents – thank you for your support in building a great St. Chris community!
Hot Lunch Reminder – Ordering for January Hot Lunch will take place begin Thursday, December 1 and end Thursday, December 15. Don’t forget to order at OrderLunches.com!
Cinemagic Ad – Speaking of recruiting, we’re excited to announce our newest marketing effort… an advertisement during the “pre-show” at Cinemagic Movies in Merrimack! Starting November 16, we will have a 15 second advertisement that runs in the loop showing before every movie in the theater begins! Get there early enough and see the ad several times! If you go to the movies, let us know when you see the ad and tell us what you think!
Christmas Concerts – It’s beginning to sound a lot like Christmas around here – everyone is practicing for their upcoming Christmas concerts! Be sure to join us to hear the result of the hard work as our students put on their Christmas Concerts! Kindergarten through grade 3 will perform in the church on Tuesday, December 13 at 10:00 AM, while grades 4-6 will perform on Thursday, December 15 at 10:00 AM. The Fine Arts Festival will take place at 6:30 PM on Thursday, December 15 in the church!
