NEW! Thank You –  What a week our teachers had last week, thanks to the Parent Group! Each day held a new surprise, from door-to-door donut and ice cream deliveries, a pick-a-pen bar, and room service for snacks to custom tote bags and the most fabulous circus-themed Teacher Appreciation lunch! Special thanks go to Sarah Rol, Beth DeRego, Melissa Michels, Lorraine Barry, Meighan Garcia, and Jenn Torosian! Our teachers are so thankful for each and every gift….and most especially thankful for the gift of our students!

Special thanks also to all those who passed along news of our Open House on Sunday! We had a wonderful turnout and have already had a number of new students register!

NEW! Tuition Agreements Overdue – Tuition Agreements for the 2019-2020 school year are now overdue. Please return them to Mrs. Abucewicz as soon possible!

Private Tours – Know someone who coudn’t make the May 19 Open House?  We love giving private tours to any family interested in joining the St. Chris community! Private tours can be scheduled for most any time the school is open and we LOVE to have prospective students visit us for a Shadow Day in the classroom! To arrange, please have the prospective families call Jackie at 882-774, ext. 114.

NEW! Too Big for Your Britches? St. Christopher School would like to help the children of Mary Gate of Heaven Orphanage in Haiti.  The Sisters of Holy Cross and volunteers at the orphanage have provided a humble list of specific items that would help the 52 children who live there.  There are a few school supplies they need and, in particular, they have asked for dress pants and jeans for their boys.  These pants and jeans may be new or can be used/outgrown ones that are in very good condition.  The children dress in their Sunday best for church and special occasions, so your outgrown finery will be put to good use.  Please see the SignUp Genius HERE for specific items and sizes.  Thanks for your generosity!

NEW! TOMORROW! Cross Country Sign-Ups -- It's that time of year again...time to sign up for Cross Country in the Fall of 2019! The program is open for students in grades 2 – 5 in the Fall (Grade 6 runs with Nashua Catholic Jr. High School).  Practices are held two afternoons after school each week starting the first week of school (and hence the early sign-ups!). The team is currently limited to 75 runners for safety sake, but may be expanded with additional parent coaches. Cost is $35 per runner or $60 for families. Sign-ups for the team will open tomorrow, May 23, at noon and may be accessed by clicking the link provided on the pop-up menu on the front page of the website, by scrolling down to the "News Announcements" on the front page of the website, or click HERE.

Morning Drop-Off – It appears that the Nashua police have begun to more strictly enforce the no parking zone in front of the school at the request of a neighbor, particularly during the morning drop-off time. We recommend that parents do not park along the school side of Cushing Ave for drop off no earlier than 8:20, 10 minutes prior to the doors opening at 8:30. If you choose to park earlier, you may risk receiving a citation from the police.

THIS WEEK! Field Day -- The always fun Field Day is coming soon! On the afternoon of THIS Friday, May 24, all of our students will be walking over to Sargent Ave Park for the Field Day events. We’ll need lots and lots and lots of volunteers to make the event a success! Volunteers are needed both for preparation in the morning and to run the event in the afternoon. We are also in need of tents and coolers. To volunteer or loan your tent and/or cooler for the day, please visit the Sign Up Genius HERE!

Lunch will be served earlier than usual on Field Day to be sure everyone is finished in time for the big events! Students in each grade are asked to wear shorts and a shirt in a specified color:

    • PreK – Yellow
    • Kdg – Purple
    • Grade 1 – Green
    • Grade 2 – White
    • Grade 3 – Orange
    • Grade 4 – Blue
    • Grade 5 – Gray
    • Grade 6 – Red
