NEW! Children’s Scholarship Fund -- Through the generosity of countless donors, CSFNH is pleased to announce the opening of the 2020-2021 application cycle!

Requalification Applications for 2020-2021 -- Starting on Wednesday, February 12th, current CSFNH Scholars may begin to complete their online requalification applications. The 2020-2021 requalification application link will be emailed directly to all eligible families on February 12th. The requalification deadline will be May 1, 2020.

Although returning families receive priority, funding is limited and scholarship awards are given on a first come, first served basis. Families will only be eligible for a scholarship award when:

1.their online requal application is completed,

2. all of their income & supporting documents have been submitted to CSF, and

3. Saint Christopher Parish School-Nashua completes the School Commitment Form (SCF).

Families with questions may call the CSFNH scholarship line at (603) 755-6751 for assistance in English or Spanish.

 

New Applications for 2020-2021

CSFNH expects to offer new scholarship awards for the 2020-2021 school year based on our available funding.  Please note that new families are required to complete the online pre-application.

Initial eligibility requirements:

  1. The family must be New Hampshire residents.
  2. The family must have a child/children between the ages of 5 and 20 who has not graduated from high school.
  3. The household income must not exceed 300% of the federal poverty level.

Scholarship awards are calculated based on the family’s income, household size, and your school’s tuition. The pre-application is available on the CSFNH website HERE.

New Student Registrations for 2020-2021 OPEN!  Registrations are now OPEN for new students in 2020-2021, from PreK 3 through grade 6. If you have a younger child who will be joining us next year, please visit the front page of the school website at www.StChrisSchoolNH and click the Apply Now button to get started! Please also pass the word to any new families who would like to join our school community in 2020-2021!

Toadstool Book Fair – Mark your calendar! Wednesday, February 19 from 6:00-7:30 PM we’ll be holding a Book Fair at the new Toadstool Bookshop in Somerset Plaza, Nashua! Raffles, Free Dress passes, and student performances! Details to come soon!

Auction News – We are just 6 weeks away from the best night of the year! This year’s Auction, “In the Winners Circle with St. Chris,” will have a Kentucky Derby theme and will take place at Sky Meadow Country Club on March 21, 2020.

Invitations: Invitations to the Auction have been mailed! All parents should receive an invitation in your home mailbox….please let Marta know if you didn’t receive one or if you have a family member or friend you’d like to add to the mailing list! You can email her at [email protected]. Tickets can be purchased by returning the RSVP or by going online HERE!

Tables: Planning on coming to the Auction with a whole bunch of your friends? Reserve a table of 10 or 12 ahead of time! To reserve the table, please email Marta a list of guests who will be joining you at your table. It’s as easy as that!

Ticket for a Teacher: Aren’t our teachers GREAT? Thank them for a job well done by being a Ticket for a Teacher sponsor! Our teachers work hard all day, every day in the classroom…they deserve a night out! To be a Ticket for a Teacher sponsor, simply complete the RSVP form HERE and select Ticket for a Teacher or check the appropriate box on your rsvp card before returning it!

Donations: Donate an item, get together with another family or two to put together a basket, chat with your boss, ask your barber, talk with your dry cleaner, reach out to your dog groomer….all are invited to participate! Auction Committee Meeting – We’re off to the races with our upcoming Auction! This fun-loving group puts together the most amazing night of the year! There’s a role for everyone, from decorations, to technology, to procurement! Please join them at their next meeting on Monday, February 17 at  7:00 PM at Margaritas!

NEW! Chess and Games Club News -- The Chess and Games Club will hold its annual friendly Chess tournament starting this Friday, February 7 and expected to run through March. We encourage everyone to participate and try to arrive by 8:00 AM. All club attendees on those days will be participants by default. Over the past ten plus weeks, Chess Club kids have learned basic Chess, moving various pieces. They learned to focus, think and analyze while having fun playing with other kids. The tournament will help play and put their skills to use.

NEW! Presidents Day In case you missed it, St. Chris WILL have school on Presidents Day, February 17!

NEW! School Store Help Needed Our School Store is looking for a couple of additional parents to help out during the week! Monday help is especially needed. The commitment is from 8:30 to 8:45 AM and it’s a lot of fun helping our students run the store! To volunteer, please email Murrayann Abucewicz at [email protected].

Hot Lunch Ordering – Hot Lunch ordering for March will is open through midnight on February 15 on Boonli.com! Please be sure to order early as we can not accept orders after the 15th!

YEARBOOK NEWS!

NEW! YEARBOOK Orders All students will bring home a packet with Yearbook information today! All orders are due by Friday, March 6. The yearbook is a wonderful memento of the year at St. Chris and features portraits and photos of ALL students, from PreK through grade 6! Please click HERE to download the information and order form!

Yearbook Group Photos – Lifetouch will be here on Wednesday, February 12 to take photos of student groups (band, basketball teams, altar servers, etc.). Students should dress in their regular uniform. There will be no retakes for absent students.

Valentine Free Dress - How sweet our school will be on Friday, February 14th with our annual Valentine’s Free Dress day! All students are invited to wear red, white, and pink that day! Please be sure that students follow our free dress rules! Oh! And it will also be a Cafeteria Day!

Literacy Club – Mrs. Gigliotti is excited to be offering a third session of reading skills instruction for students in grades Kindergarten to 2! The program will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays before school from 7:45-8:30 AM and will run for six weeks from February 10-March 26. (vacation is incorporated in these dates. There are 10 slots in the sign up genius HERE.  The group will focus on letters, sounds, sight words, reading comprehension, and retelling of stories. The cost for the six week program is $360. Once your student is signed up, you will receive a detailed letter with additional details. 

6th Grade Mother/Daughter Paint Night -- Moms and Daughters in 6th Grade: The Upper Campus (Nashua Catholic) is holding its Annual Mother/Daughter Paint Night on Friday, March 27th at 5:30 PM at the Upper Campus! You and your mom won’t want to miss this evening of fun as J.J. Long, owner of JJArtworks, guides us step-by-step to create the featured painting. All supplies are included and no painting experience is necessary! This will be a fun evening for you and your mom and your girlfriends! 6th Grade Father/Daughter Dance – 6th Grade Girls: You’re cordially invited to the Father/Daughter Dance on Saturday, February 15th at the Upper Campus (Nashua Catholic)! This special night with your Dad (or the father figure in your life) begins at 7:00 PM in the Upper Campus gymnasium (Nashua Catholic) and includes a DJ, refreshments and a photographer! THIS WEEK! Pass Along Project Clothing Drive – St. Chris parishioner and Eagle Scout candidate has requested our assistance with his Eagle Scout project for the The Pass Along Project. The Pass Along Project is an organization that collects new and lightly used clothing for children entering into foster care in and around the Nashua area, oftentimes only with the clothes on their back. After being collected, clothing is sorted by size and gender, then washed and packaged into BUNDLES which consist of a week’s worth of clothes based on the child’s age and gender (sizes infant to youth 14-16). Clothing in these bundles include...Shirts, Shorts, Pants, Jeans, Pajamas, Coats, Boots, Sneakers, Underwear (NEW ONLY),Socks (NEW ONLY), and Diapers (NEW ONLY). Clothing will be collected at St. Christopher Church on Saturday, February 8th at the 4:00 PM mass and Sunday, February 9th at 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM masses with a breakfast in the church hall after the 10:00 AM mass. Donations can also be brought to the school by THIS Friday, February 7, and Adam will pick it up! All donations will support Adam Picard’s Eagle Scout project!
