Thanksgiving Message from the principal
Dear St. Christopher Families and Friends,
I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you just how much you all mean to me. Thanksgiving gives us all a chance to stop and reflect and think about what is really important to us in this life, just how precious and fragile it is, and to use the time God has given us to be with the special people in our lives.
For me, it is the gift of family and friends that are the riches in my life. Those precious times that we hold dear to our hearts and memories and special moments that can never be replaced, neither by time nor all the wealth in the world.
As always, I am extremely thankful to Father David for bringing his love of the Holy Spirit to our students, faculty and staff. Although we have always been a very faith-filled community, Father David has ignited in us a desire to learn more about our faith and the importance of deepening our love of the Eucharist. I framed a quote that I keep in my office and goes like this, “Pay attention to the people God puts in your path if you want to discern what God is up to in your life.” Thanks be to God for placing Father David in our lives!
Service and generosity are important especially this time of year. I’d like to share with you what our St. Chris. community has accomplished recently. We were able to collect an amazing amount of food to help the St. Vincent de Paul group at the parish. Your generosity will help to supply a Thanksgiving meal to over 45 families in our greater Nashua community. If this isn’t God’s work, I don’t know what is. Again, my heart is full of thanks to everyone!
I’d like to take a moment to thank the teachers and staff for their hard work, dedication, enthusiasm and willingness to go the extra mile for our students and their families. Every single one of them spends hours upon hours preparing for our amazing students. Their dedication is what makes our school the success it is today! I simply cannot thank them enough.
Whether you have planned a grand feast surrounded by friends and family, or you are heading to a restaurant….. it is not really the edible food, but rather who we share it with that counts most of all, and to me, this is the true value and meaning of Thanksgiving.
I will be thinking of, and praying for, each and every one of you during this season of Thanksgiving, as well as those less fortunate. Even though we won’t be together on that day, you will be close to me in my heart.
In closing, you have touched my life in so many ways and I am a very wealthy individual because of this. As I always say…..I am the luckiest principal in the world. Praise God!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
