NEW! Eclipse Glasses Recycling - What a great day we had on Monday with the solar eclipse! Students spent the morning learning about eclipses and doing special activities, then viewed the event safely through their eclipse glasses donated by a generous donor. Since NH won’t see the next total solar eclipse until 2079, we felt it is important to find a way to recycle our glasses for students in other countries to have the same exciting experience! There will be collection boxes in the lobbies of both campuses through Friday, April 19. All glasses will be donated to Astronomers Without Borders for distribution to students and educators in locations throughout the world who will be experiencing solar eclipses in the near future. Thank you for helping us to help others!

NEW! Silver Knights Education Day Tickets - It’s time to order tickets for the field trip to the Silver Knights on June 4th! Students in grades 1-6 will bring home an order form for student tickets and a permission slip. Both must be completed and returned to school with a $7.00 fee by NEXT Friday, April 19 for all grade 1 to 6 students who will be attending the baseball game. Please note that students who do not choose to attend this field trip will need to stay home from school on June 4.

Parents are welcome to join us at the game also! The Silver Knights have reserved a number of parent seats for us. Tickets must be purchased through the Silver Knights by using the link HERE and the group password SCA. Parent tickets are on a first come, first served basis through the Silver Knights website. No parent tickets will be available from the school.

NEW! Annual Year-End Family BBQ - It’s time to start planning our annual All Saint Chris Academy BBQ! All families are invited to this fun and FREE gathering on Friday, May 24 from 5:30 - 7:00 PM! The event will be held in the field behind the upper campus building (or inside the upper campus if it should rain) Plans include a ton of FREE food and a DJ. To help us plan and purchase enough food, we'd like to get a preliminary count on attendees. If you think that you and your family will be attending, please complete the anonymous form HERE by May 1. THANKS!

NEW! Campus Ministry Update - Saint Chris Campus Ministry will be visiting the elderly at Aynsley Place (80 Lake Street) next week from 3:00 - 4:00 PM on Monday, April 15th. All UC students are welcome to attend! See Ms. Thompson for more information!

Trivia Night - After a very successful first event, our next Trivia Night for grades 5 to 8 will take place on May 3rd from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM in the church hall! Everyone from grade 5 to 8 are welcome to attend. Bring your own snacks and drinks!

NEW! Lower Campus Street Warnings - Parents should be aware that the school side of Cushing Ave is no parking at any time during school hours (with the exception of live parking during drop-off time). Several parents have received tickets from the police while coming in to pick up their children. As an alternative, parents can park short term across the street, in the bus drop off, or in the upper parish parking lot.

In addition, please also be aware of the speed limits in our neighborhood! We have received complaints from our neighbors about cars speeding to/from school during both the before and after school hours. As this is a school zone, the speed limit is 20 mph around the school. Outside of the school zone, the speed limit is 30 mph.

NEW! Education Freedom Accounts House Bill - The Children's Scholarship Fund invites parents to join them for the public hearing on New House Bill 1665, this coming Tuesday morning, April 16th. HB 1665 raises the income limit for EFA to 500% of poverty line, which is just $102K for a single parent with one child and just over $150K for a family of four. This bill has already passed the House and now must only pass the Senate to get to the Governor’s desk. The hearing is this coming Tuesday, April 16, at 9:30 AM in the Legislative Office Building Room 101 at 33 N. State St, Concord, NH 03301. If you can not attend, CSF asks you to remotely share your support at https://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/remotecommittee/senate.aspx.

Lower Campus Security Reminder - Please remember that all lower campus parents must stop at the front desk and sign in before proceeding to a classroom. Parents should not walk their children to classrooms or deliver items to classrooms without a pass. It is imperative that all parents follow this rule for security reasons with NO exceptions at all times during the day, including drop-off. Thank you for your cooperation.

THIS WEEK! Grade 8 Field Trip - All 8th grade students will travel to Concord, NH on Friday, April 12 for a Hispanic Flamenco Ballet. All students should bring a bag lunch from home as they will not return in time for hot lunch at school.

Lower Campus Library News - Birthday Books - If you would like to purchase a birthday book for your student this year, please send Mrs. Noon an email or a note by April 19th to allow plenty of time for the book to be delivered and processed. If you have more than one student, feel free to get their birthday books at the same time! For more information on the birthday book program find it HERE. We have added over 50 new books to the library this year, thanks to our families donating to the Birthday Book Program. Thank you for your generosity!

Lower Campus Forgotten Lunch Reminder - Please do not rely on our bagel and cream cheese “forgotten lunch” as a bagged lunch from home replacement. The forgotten lunch is ONLY for those students who get to school and discover that they are not on the Hot Lunch list for the day. All parents are expected to provide a bagged lunch from home for their child if he/she did not order Hot Lunch for the day. Parents will be billed $3.50 for the forgotten lunch through Boonli. Students who repeatedly ask for a forgotten lunch will be asked to call home and have a parent bring a lunch to school rather than receiving a forgotten lunch. Thanks for your help with this!
