NEW! Thank You! We have three very special thank you’s to extend this week!

  • Please join us in thanking Jenn Torosian, Jamie Gregoire, and the amazing group of parents who helped them treat our teachers and staff to an incredible Teacher Appreciation Week! Jenn and Jamie coordinated an appreciation event for each and every day and the parents supported the effort with donations of food, funds, and onsite assistance. Thank you all!

  • Super duper thanks go to all those who helped with yesterday’s STEM Day and Night!! The day was a HUGE success due to the efforts of faculty/staff members Carol Fiore, Donna Noon, Deb Gauvin, Mary Foran, Scott Maxwell, and Jackie Langenfeld, parents Julie Knapp and Danielle Schuh, and student ambassadors Luke Emond, Nathan Hope, Kathryn Kieley, Lily Small, Kayla McCorry, TJ Rooney, and Bella Wainaina. And of course, we owe a HUGE thank you to our STEM Day presenters Jess Janowski, Claire Ternan, Lauren Saltalamacchia, Alex Sullivan, Rebekah Thibault, Kristen Bechard, Elaina Bedio, Becky Longval, Jane Steckowych, Eddie Saltalamacchia, Stacey Robert, Nancy Sydow, Rachel Manelas, Michele Hope, Carrie Ayers, Tim Troy, Dave Sydow, Melissa Moniz, John Knapp, Nermin Akrawi, Craig Orlando, Jonathan Amrein, Olga Usyk, and Gregg Gordon!

  • Last week was the last day of our Friday popcorn, so we want to extend thanks to our fabulous poppers! Coordinated by Melissa Michels, popcorn volunteers include Louis Cardinale, Alayna Zucchi, Arthur Carew, Loni Rooney, Laura Gehringer, Andrea Rugg, Becky Kosterman, Danielle Schuh, Kristi Healey, and Craig Schuh.

Employment Opportunities - We are currently interviewing for new faculty members to fill our open positions! Please spread the word!  Preferred applicants should be practicing Catholics, hold an appropriate New Hampshire teaching certification (or be eligible for certification), and be ready to embrace our school mission of developing students who lead by example and live their lives with integrity and in service to God and others. Candidates may read more about our open positions and apply by clicking HERE!

NEW! Lower Campus Attendance - Lower campus parents are reminded to email attendance.lower@saintchrisacademy with any and all information regarding attendance or changes in dismissal for students. Emails to teachers may go unread until after the school day has ended, so any information on attendance/dismissals must be sent to the attendance email for timely action. This is important for the safety and security of our students. In addition, please remember that if a student is leaving school early, parents must come into the school and sign the student out at the front desk. Thank you for your cooperation!

THIS WEEK!  Lower Campus Field Day! The lower campus Field Day is THIS Friday, May 19th. Here's a few key details you'll need about the day:

  • Students should wear a t-shirt in their grade level color with school appropriate bottoms and sneakers.
    • PreK - Yellow
    • K - Purple
    • Grade 1 - Green
    • Grade 2 - White
    • Grade 3 - Orange
    • Grade 4 - Blue
    • Grade 5 - Gray
  • Hot lunch will be served early that day before we start the walk to the park around 12:25.
  • Grade parent volunteers will need to stop by the front desk to check in and get a visitor pass before proceeding to their child's classroom between 12:00 and 12:15. They will assist with walking the students down to the park, actively assisting in directing games/activities with the students and walking them back to the school. Expected time to start walking back to school is 2:30. Schedule and station descriptions will be emailed next week.
  • All other volunteers and donation items - please confirm times and locations using the SignUp Genius link HERE.
  • Each grade will participate in 3 stations (1 being water based) along with a Fun Run. All activities will be outdoors and potentially in the sun/other weather elements. Bug spray and sunscreen should be applied before coming to school.
  • At the field, each child will be provided with a snack of water, Goldfish and a watermelon slice.
  • VERY IMPORTANT - no child will be dismissed from the field. All children must be walked back to the school and be dismissed from there. Estimated time to return to school is by 2:45.

NEW! Milk Ends - Our milk program for the year ends on June 2nd!

NEXT WEEK! Family BBQ - It’s almost time for the Saint Chris Family BBQ! All families are invited to this fun and FREE gathering on Friday, May 26 from 5:30 - 7:00 PM! The event will be held in the field behind the upper campus building (or inside the upper campus if we have rain again this year!) Plans include a ton of FREE food and a DJ.

BBQ Help Needed - We are still in need of a few volunteers, food and equipment donations for the big night! Please view the SignUp Genius HERE to see how you can help!

Shuttle Bus - Since we are using the back parking lot at the upper campus for the BBQ, parking will be VERY limited around the school. But fear not! Bishop Guertin will again be providing a shuttle bus from the parking lot at the lower campus to the upper campus. The shuttle will run all evening, so families can easily park at the lower campus, ride over to the upper campus, and return to their car when they are ready. Families are strongly encouraged to use this service!

NEXT WEEK! Fine Arts Festival - Please join our choruses, band soloists, strings, and 3rd grade recorder students for the Spring Fine Arts Festival concert on Wednesday, May 24 at 7:00 PM in the gym at the upper campus. Artwork by many of our students will also be displayed!

UPDATED! Gym Tarp Help - The last two weeks of school are busy, busy, busy in the upper campus gym! To protect the floor, we are still in need of 6 volunteers to help Mr. Farris cover the gym floor with a tarp on the morning of Friday, May 26. Volunteers can be from either campus! If you can help from approximately 9:00-10:00 AM, please email Marta at [email protected]. Thanks!

NEXT WEEK! Rising 6th Grade Parent Orientation - On Monday, May 22, parents of current 5th grade students are invited to attend a Rising 6th Grade Parent Orientation at 6:00 pm in the upper campus gym. This session will help parents prepare for the transition to the upper campus and answer common questions.

NEW! Memorial Day NO SCHOOL - There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day. Have a super day off!

NEW! Silver Knights Baseball Game – Don’t forget that all students in grades 1-6 will be attending the Silver Knights Education Day baseball game on Wednesday, May 31! If your grade 1-6 child did not purchase a ticket, her or she must stay home from school that day. All students attending the game should wear his or her gym uniform. The Silver Knights will be providing a hot dog, chips, and water for lunch. If a child has a food allergy (or just does not like hot dogs!), he or she may bring a lunch with them. Please be sure that all students have sunscreen on BEFORE coming to school! If parents who have purchased a ticket would like to walk to the park with lower campus students, please meet in the front of the lower campus building by 9:55 am. Do not ring the bell and request to go to the classroom….homerooms will leave from the front of the school and parents are welcome to join the group as they leave! Thanks!

Upper Campus Art Work - Mrs. Krassowski would like to remind students and parents that all student artwork is ready for students to take home! It is located in the "Hall Gallery" between the Art Room and the Makerspace.

Next Year’s Auction! We are excited to announce that we have reserved the date and picked the theme for next year’s Auction! In celebration of our 20th annual event, our theme will be “Saint Christopher Academy’s Roaring 20th Anniversary Auction” and it will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the Event Center at the Marriott Courtyard. We’ll be putting on the Ritz…it’s going to be the cat’s pajamas!

School Pinterest Page - Do you love Pinterest?! So do we…so we started our very own school Pinterest page HERE! The page features teacher favorites on a variety of topics of interest to our families, from family travel and fun, saints for kids, internet safety, math activities, handwriting skills, and more! The school board is being managed by Mrs. Presenti, so feel free to share any great pins with her that you think might help other parents! Her email is [email protected]. Happy pinning!
