NEW! Thank You! Wowza! We had such a great time at last Friday’s lower campus Field Day! Many, many, many thanks to Mrs. Beauregard for coordinating the day, to Mrs. Beatrice for handling the busyness in the lobby, to the teachers for moving their students through the crazy day, and to the large number of volunteers who came to help us! Special appreciation goes to our Hot Lunch volunteers for the day who came early and worked super duper fast to get all of our students fed in time to walk to the park!

NEW! Endowment Fund Donation Thank You! We are very grateful to Msgr. Richard J. Kelley for the donation of $40,000 to create the Edward and Marian Kelley Fund to benefit our Faculty Endowment! This fund was created in loving memory of Msgr. Kelley’s mother and father, Edward and Marian. Mr. and Mrs. Kelley were devout Catholics and raised two sons who became priests, Msgr. Richard J. Kelley and Msgr. Edward Kelley. Msgr. Richard Kelley was pastor of St. Christopher Parish for 18 years and is an ardent supporter of the school. Although he retired in 2018, Msgr. Kelley is often a visitor at the school for masses, classroom visits, and our annual Vocation Day. He is pleased to honor his parents with a gift that will assist the teachers of the Academy for years to come.

Friends of Msgr. Kelley are welcome to honor him and his parents with donations to the Edward and Marian Kelley Fund by clicking HERE. Msgr. Kelley will be notified of all gifts (unless the donor chooses to remain anonymous) and all donations will be reflected in our Honor Roll of Donors to be published over the summer.

Donors may create their own named endowment fund with a donation of $25,000 or more. Please click HERE or contact Marta Nissen at [email protected] for more information.

You can reach her at [email protected] or 603-882-7442, ext. 212 to make the change or get more information.

Employment Opportunities - We are currently interviewing for new faculty members to fill our open positions! Please spread the word!  Preferred applicants should be practicing Catholics, hold an appropriate New Hampshire teaching certification (or be eligible for certification), and be ready to embrace our school mission of developing students who lead by example and live their lives with integrity and in service to God and others. Candidates may read more about our open positions and apply by clicking HERE!

Lower Campus Attendance - Lower campus parents are reminded to email attendance.lower@saintchrisacademy with any and all information regarding attendance or changes in dismissal for students. Emails to teachers may go unread until after the school day has ended, so any information on attendance/dismissals must be sent to the attendance email for timely action. This is important for the safety and security of our students. In addition, please remember that if a student is leaving school early, parents must come into the school and sign the student out at the front desk. Thank you for your cooperation!

Milk Ends - Our milk program for the year ends on June 2nd!

THIS WEEK! Family BBQ - The BBQ is just two days away and it’s going to be a beautiful night for a party!  All families are invited to this fun and FREE gathering THIS Friday, May 26 from 5:30 - 7:00 PM! The event will be held in the field behind the upper campus building (or inside the upper campus if we have rain again this year!) Plans include a ton of FREE food and a DJ.

After Care Ends at 5:30 on Friday - As mentioned in an email yesterday, After Care on Friday will be ending at 5:30 pm. This allows us to use the back parking lot for shuttle parking and for the teachers to enjoy the BBQ in its entirety. Thanks!

BBQ Help Needed - We are still in need of a few volunteers, food and equipment donations for the big night! Please view the SignUp Genius HERE to see how you can help!

Shuttle Bus - Since we are using the back parking lot at the upper campus for the BBQ, parking will be VERY limited around the school. But fear not! Bishop Guertin will again be providing a shuttle bus from the parking lot at the lower campus to the upper campus. The shuttle begin at 5:20 pm and will run all evening, so families can easily park at the lower campus, ride over to the upper campus, and return to their car when they are ready. Please park in the back parking lot and pick up the shuttle bus in the bus drop off area along Brookline Street. Families are VERY strongly encouraged to use this service!

TONIGHT! Fine Arts Festival - Please join our choruses, band soloists, strings, and 3rd grade recorder students for the Spring Fine Arts Festival concert TONIGHT, Wednesday, May 24, at 7:00 PM in the gym at the upper campus. Artwork by many of our students will also be displayed!

NEXT WEEK! Silver Knights Baseball Game Don’t forget that all students in grades 1-6 will be attending the Silver Knights Education Day baseball game on Wednesday, May 31! If your grade 1-6 child did not purchase a ticket, her or she must stay home from school that day. All students attending the game should wear his or her gym uniform. The Silver Knights will be providing a hot dog, chips, and water for lunch. If a child has a food allergy (or just does not like hot dogs!), he or she may bring a lunch with them. Please be sure that all students have sunscreen on BEFORE coming to school! If parents who have purchased a ticket would like to walk to the park with lower campus students, please meet in the front of the lower campus building by 9:55 am. Do not ring the bell and request to go to the classroom….homerooms will leave from the front of the school and parents are welcome to join the group as they leave! Thanks!
