NEW! Thank You! The BBQ was such a fabulous community event on Friday…thank you to coordinator Mary Wooward and the merry band of watermelon slicers, set-up helpers, grill masters, dessert/water/ice providers, food servers, and clean-up crew! We also appreciate those who brought coolers and tents and grills! Thank you all!

Many thanks also go to our wonderful parents who helped get the gym tarped on Friday morning! Many hands make light work…after a little delay getting started, the project was finished in record time!

More thanks go to our grade 1 to 6 teachers and the many parents for the hot but very, very fun field trip to the Silver Knights baseball game today! A number of the kids were excited to attend their very first baseball game ever! Our students were exceptionally well behaved…we are so proud of them!

And finally….SOOOOOOO many extra special thanks to the incredible volunteers who made our Hot Lunch program a huge success! Between the two campuses, we served over 40,000 lunches this year! We could not do it without the dedication, hard work, and good humor of all of our Hot Lunch volunteers. Thank you ALL from the bottom of our hearts (and full stomachs!)!!

NEW! Parent Survey Reminder - All parents were emailed a link to our end-of-the-year survey on Thursday, May 25. Please take the time to complete the survey…your feedback is important and of great value as we plan for the 2023-2024 school year!  The survey will remain open until 11:45 pm on June 5 and is completely confidential. Each campus has a separate survey, so please refer to your May 25 email or today’s Wednesday News email for the correct link. Thank you for your help!

NEW! UC Girls Summer Basketball Workouts - This summer the upper campus girls basketball program will have skills sessions on Tuesday nights from 5:30-7:30 pm. They will begin on June 13 and continue each Tuesday night, concluding on August 22. The only exception will be Tuesday, July 4. The cost will be $75 for the entire summer or $10 for each individual session. Upper Campus girls and incoming sixth graders interested in playing next year are invited. Please contact coach Scott Purcell at [email protected] with any questions.

NEW! Coolers from the BBQ - Oops! Did you forget to take your cooler home after the BBQ? All of the remaining coolers are located in the rear of the school, by the doors where desserts and drinks were served. Please check there!

Endowment Fund Donation Thank You! We are very grateful to Msgr. Richard J. Kelley for the donation of $40,000 to create the Edward and Marian Kelley Fund to benefit our Faculty Endowment! This fund was created in loving memory of Msgr. Kelley’s mother and father, Edward and Marian. Mr. and Mrs. Kelley were devout Catholics and raised two sons who became priests, Msgr. Richard J. Kelley and Msgr. Edward Kelley. Msgr. Richard Kelley was pastor of St. Christopher Parish for 18 years and is an ardent supporter of the school. Although he retired in 2018, Msgr. Kelley is often a visitor at the school for masses, classroom visits, and our annual Vocation Day. He is pleased to honor his parents with a gift that will assist the teachers of the Academy for years to come.

Friends of Msgr. Kelley are welcome to honor him and his parents with donations to the Edward and Marian Kelley Fund by clicking HERE. Msgr. Kelley will be notified of all gifts (unless the donor chooses to remain anonymous) and all donations will be reflected in our Honor Roll of Donors to be published over the summer.

Donors may create their own named endowment fund with a donation of $25,000 or more. Please click HERE or contact Marta Nissen at [email protected] for more information.
